Offenbach (dpa / lhe) - April shows its uncomfortable side in Hesse.

The German Weather Service (DWD) in Offenbach expected showers again and again, in some places snow and individual thunderstorms, according to a message from Saturday.

For the night of Sunday, the meteorologists predicted rain at times, especially in the western half.

There should also be rain on Sunday.

From the Rhine to the Rhön these can also turn out like a shower.

Individual thunderstorms are not excluded, said the DWD.

The temperatures climb to a maximum of 8 to 13 degrees in the northwest and to 14 to 18 degrees in the southeast half.

There can be strong gusts here and there.

In the night of Monday it rains again from time to time, in the mountains above 200 to 400 meters the precipitation turns into snow.

At temperatures between minus one and plus four degrees, smoothness has to be expected in some places.

According to the forecast, the temperatures during the day will be a maximum of two to seven degrees.

In some areas there should initially be rain or sleet, at higher altitudes there should be snow with slippery conditions.

Later loosening is expected from the northwest.
