Potsdam (dpa / bb) - After the decline over Easter, the number of new corona infections is increasing again in most Brandenburg districts and cities.

With Elbe-Elster, the first district again passed the mark of 200 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within a week, as the Ministry of Health announced on Sunday.

It is followed by Cottbus with a value of almost 184. In Frankfurt (Oder), Märkisch-Oderland and Oberhavel the number rose to over 100. There were already stricter restrictions.

In Oder-Spree the incidence fell to just under 170, and it also fell in Spree-Neisse.

Nationwide, the seven-day incidence rose to 119 from just under 111 on Saturday and around 137 a week ago.

The numbers initially fell over Easter and afterwards.

However, fewer tests were probably done and reported at Easter.

The Brandenburg health authorities reported 450 new corona infections nationwide within one day.

The number fell slightly after there were 670 new cases on Saturday.

Most recently, there were two deaths in connection with a Covid 19 disease.

In most counties and urban districts, a so-called emergency brake applies.

If the value of new infections per 100,000 population is over 100 for three consecutive days in a week, the March easing must be reversed.

This applies for at least two weeks.

However, if the seven-day incidence from the tenth to the twelfth day is below 100, according to the state's Corona ordinance, it ends at the end of the day after the two weeks of the order.
