Berlin / Magdeburg (dpa / sa) - The seven-day incidence of new corona infections has increased significantly in Saxony-Anhalt.

On Saturday morning, it was 146, according to the dashboard of the Robert Koch Institute (RKI).

The day before, the RKI had reported a value of 129.4 cases per 100,000 inhabitants within 7 days.

Accordingly, 929 new corona infections and 19 new deaths related to the virus were reported to the RKI within 24 hours.

The RKI data showed the highest incidence of infection for the Burgenland district (257.8), followed by the Stendal district (189.8) and the city of Halle (178.8).

The districts of Anhalt-Bitterfeld and Jerichower Land each had the lowest number in the country, with 87.1 new infections reported per 100,000 inhabitants and 7 days.
