A light tram at the gates of the City of Light.

From this Saturday, it is possible to leave Porte de Choisy (13th arrondissement) to reach Orly-Ville by tram in about thirty minutes.

The T9 tram has been put into service and crosses the municipalities of Ivry-sur-Seine, Vitry-sur-Seine, Thiais, Choisy-le-Roi.

The T9, punctuated by 19 stations, takes up part of the route of the bus line 183 but in "twice as fast", indicates Ile-de-France Mobilités, thanks in particular to its dedicated traffic lane and a frequency of passage of a tram every 3 and 30 minutes during rush hour (every 5 minutes when it is put into service).

A particularity of this tram, it is distinguished "by an interior and exterior covering traversed by continuous light lines", hence its name "light tram".

A design chosen during a consultation with Ile-de-France residents and which had collected 42,000 votes (two thirds for this luminous design).

This “light tram” will be found on the T10 tracks between Clamart and Antony in 2023.

Our public transport file

Ultimately, the T9 should carry more than 70,000 daily travelers and will be connected to metro line 15 (for the moment to number 7, RER C and several bus lines).

This tram was financed by the Île-de-France region (52.5%), the State (22.5%), the department of Val-de-Marne (21%) the City of Paris (3%) and Grand Paris-Orly Seine Bièvre (1%).
