Bodenwöhr (dpa / lby) - Because he was drunk and used an online gaming chat, a man in the Upper Palatinate triggered a police and rescue service on Saturday night.
As the police announced, the 30-year-old from Bodenwöhr (Schwandorf district) claimed to his interlocutor from Fürth that his sleepwalking girlfriend attacked and injured him with a knife.
Because he could no longer reach the man afterwards, the Fürth has called the ambulance service.
This and several police patrols then drove to Bodenwohr, where they found the 30-year-old heavily drunk, but unharmed in his apartment.
According to the police, the girlfriend and the alleged knife attack were fictitious.
