Wiesbaden (dpa / lhe) - Hessen's economy has reacted angrily to the plans of Federal Labor Minister Hubertus Heil (SPD) for a corona test obligation for companies.

"Berlin politics is looking for someone to blame for its own failures," said Eberhard Flammer, President of the Hessian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HIHK), on Sunday in Wiesbaden.

"Now companies should be responsible for the lack of vaccine."

The planned test obligation for companies annoyed the companies considerably.

The HIHK President assured that between 80 and 90 percent of the companies were already testing or starting to do so.

The state, however, was unable to put a functioning test strategy in place for a year.

"The threat of duty is always a sign of perplexity."
