Nuremberg (dpa / lby) - New generation record among the peregrine falcon chicks on the Nuremberg Imperial Castle: For the first time four chicks hatched in the nesting place on the Sinwell Tower.

The bird parents fed all of the white, fluffy chicks, the government of Middle Franconia announced on the webcam website on Saturday.

Even the little latecomer has a chance to get away with it.

If he can assert himself against his older siblings the next time he is fed, he will quickly gain weight and become stronger.

Bird fans can watch how the small birds of prey develop live via web cam.

Some were even lucky enough to watch the chicks hatch from their eggs.

On Wednesday night the first small peregrine falcon came out of the egg, followed shortly afterwards by the second.

On Friday, the news of a third chick caused enthusiasm, because that too was a novelty since 2013, when the peregrine falcons moved into the Kaiserburg.

When the fourth suddenly hatched, it was almost a sensation.

"Sometimes it's like a club: Trembling and hoping to the end," commented the government of Middle Franconia with a view to the second division soccer club 1. FC Nürnberg.

A fourth peregrine falcon chick actually hatched.
