Mörfelden-Walldorf (dpa) - The flight attendant union Ufo has called on its members to elect a new board.

This should happen online next Wednesday (April 14th), as the union in Mörfelden-Walldorf announced.

A result should be available on the following Thursday.

Ten candidates stand for election for the seven seats, including the previous chairwoman Anja Bronstert.

The committee then elects the chairperson from among its members.

You can imagine continuing to hold the office, said Bronstert of the German press agency.

The election is intended to be a new start in the previously hopelessly divided union, which tore up an entire board within a year and lost its leadership figures in the Corona air traffic crisis.

The interim chairwoman Bronstert as well as her deputy Wolfgang Heriban did not belong to the previous board and had been nominated later.

Among other things, the long-time executives Nicoley Baublies and Daniel Flohr resigned after disputes with the union advisory board.

It was not until February that the members agreed to an amendment to the statutes, with which UFO returned to the choice of personality in the board elections.

Before that, there had been list elections.
