Bad Salzuflen (dpa / lnw) - 41 people were rescued by emergency services in an apartment fire in Bad Salzuflen.

There were two slightly injured, as the fire brigade announced on Saturday.

In the apartment building in the Lippe district, there was a fire on Saturday night in an apartment on the second floor for an initially unexplained cause.

When the fire brigade arrived, thick smoke was already coming out of the apartment.

Some residents had taken refuge on balconies and called for help.

The fire brigade put out the fire and took people outside.

The criminal police are now determining the amount of damage and the cause of the fire.
