Genthin / Burg (dpa / sa) - A drunk 18-year-old without a driver's license caused a serious traffic accident with three injuries on Sunday night in Genthin (Jerichower Land district).
Initial findings indicate that the young man lost control of the car on a wet road and crashed into another vehicle and a lamp post.
His car then caught fire, said the police in Burg.
The driver, his co-driver of the same age and a 15-year-old were able to free themselves from the burning car, but had to be injured and taken to hospitals.
The breath alcohol test on the 18-year-old driver showed a value of 0.46 per thousand.
According to the police, there are reports against him for road traffic hazard and driving without a driver's license.
