The data also include children and pupils who returned after Easter in presence at school for a total of 5,483,903.

With reference to the different school sectors, a total of 1,393,010 children in kindergartens (100%), 2,605,865 primary students (100%), 1,485,028 secondary school pupils will follow the teaching activities at school. grade (86.7%) and partially alternating at 50% 1,074,632 high school students (38.5%).

Italy is 'clearing up': only three regions plus red Sardinia

In the meantime, despite the apparent surge in deaths, with the RT passing from 0.98 to 0.92, Italy is tinged with orange.

There are six Regions that are changing for the better, Emilia Romagna, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Lombardy, Piedmont (except Cuneo), Tuscany (but the provinces of Florence and Prato remain red until Saturday 17) and Calabria, in doubt until the end.

Three remain in the red (Campania, Valle d'Aosta, Puglia) and one is relegated, Sardinia, which in just over a month passes from the white to the red zone.

The new ordinances of the Minister of Health, Roberto Speranza, on the basis of the data and indications of the Control Room, will go into effect starting from Monday 12 April.

"In the European context, Italy is slowly 'clearing up'", confirms ISS president Silvio Brusaferro, who explains how our country has reached the plateau, unlike others.

The slow decline of the epidemiological curve continues and, he says, involves "all age groups".
