Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) - Anyone who takes a corona rapid test at work in North Rhine-Westphalia can now use the result in their free time.

As the Düsseldorf Ministry of Health announced on Sunday, employers - like doctors or test centers - can now also issue an official test certificate.

"With more than 5,700 test sites across the country and up to 290,000 daily citizen tests, the test strategy in North Rhine-Westphalia has picked up speed in the last few weeks," said Health Minister Karl-Josef Laumman (CDU).

“The numerous tests in old people's and nursing homes also contribute a lot to coping with the pandemic.

If more and more employers join in, we will be on the right track in our country. "

According to the ministry, employers can issue their employees with proof if the testing is carried out "by competent or trained staff when using corona rapid tests."

It is also possible to make self-tests available to employees, "which they carry out under the supervision of a trained person and the results of which are then confirmed."

There are forms for the certificates.

Employers who want to participate must register in advance.
