April 10, 2021 A large depression area, located in Western Europe, in the next few hours will convey a flow of southwestern humid currents towards our country.
In particular, a first perturbation will bring widespread precipitation in the evening of today on the north-west and upper Tuscany, while a second impulse, from the evening of tomorrow, will invest the whole of northern Italy with rains and thunderstorms, and even snowfalls on the Alpine sectors.
Based on the available forecasts, the Department of Civil Protection, in agreement with the regions involved - which are responsible for activating the civil protection systems in the territories concerned - has issued a warning of adverse weather conditions.
The weather phenomena, impacting on the various areas of the country, could determine hydrogeological and hydraulic criticalities which are reported, in a national summary, in the national criticality and alert bulletin which can be consulted on the Department's website.
On the basis of the expected and ongoing phenomena, a yellow alert was assessed for tomorrow, Sunday 11 April, on part of the territories of Piedmont, Liguria, Emilia-Romagna, Tuscany and Umbria.
The notice foresees from late afternoon today, Saturday 10 April, scattered to diffuse rainfall, also of a reverse or thunderstorm character, on Piedmont, especially south-eastern sectors, Liguria, Emilia-Romagna, especially the Emilian Apennines, and northern Tuscany .
The phenomena will be accompanied by strong showers, frequent electrical activity and strong gusts of wind.
