Rappweiler (dpa / lrs) - A 27-year-old driver was seriously injured in a traffic accident in the Merzig-Wadern district.
This was announced by the North Saarland Police Inspectorate on Saturday.
According to the investigations, the man's car went off the road in a left turn near Rappweiler on Friday evening, presumably due to excessive speed.
The car hit a stone retaining wall, threw about ten meters through the air, and landed on the roof.
The trapped driver was freed by the fire brigade and taken to a hospital in Saarbrücken.
A blood sample was taken from him.
