Markranstädt (dpa / sn) - After an ATM was blown up, the alleged perpetrators fled unrecognized from the machine room of a bank branch in Markranstädt, southwest of Leipzig.
As the police announced on Sunday, the strangers did not manage to get the cash in the machine on Saturday night.
Witnesses watched the strangers flee towards Lake Kulkwitz.
In the course of the on-site measures, ten residents of the affected house had to leave their apartments for a short time, but were able to return shortly afterwards.
The police could not initially provide any information about the amount of damage caused.
