Bad Lippspringe (dpa / lnw) - A 14-year-old took his father's car keys in Bad Lippspringe (Paderborn district) and went on a nightly joyride.
The police quickly noticed the car in the city due to its unsafe driving style.
However, the young driver ignored signs of stopping and instead accelerated.
According to the information, he raced through a red light, then came off the road in a tight right-hand bend and crashed into three trees, all of which buckled.
The 14-year-old couldn't be stopped by that either.
Finally he had had enough and stopped.
It turned out that he was slightly injured in the collision with the trees.
According to the police, the damage to property is around 6,000 euros.
The father hadn't known anything about the unauthorized tour, as it was called.
The incident happened early Saturday morning.
