The Houthis announced this morning, Sunday, the launch of two drones to target the airfields of warplanes at two airports in southern Saudi Arabia, while Reuters quoted Saudi media outlets that the air defenses of the coalition intercepted a drone launched by the Houthis.

The Houthi military spokesman, Yahya Saree, confirmed in a tweet on Twitter that two drones had targeted the landfills of Saudi warplanes at Jizan Airport and King Khalid Air Base in Khamis Mushait.

Meanwhile, Reuters reported, according to Saudi media, that the air defenses of the coalition intercepted a drone launched by the Houthis towards Khamis Mushait in the Asir region, southwest of the Kingdom.

This comes a day after the Saudi Press Agency announced that the coalition destroyed a drone bomb in Yemeni airspace that was launched by the Houthis towards the Kingdom, just as the coalition announced on Friday the destruction of a ballistic missile launched by the Houthis towards the Jizan region, coinciding with the Houthi announcement of targeting Abha International Airport with a drone.

The Houthis have recently intensified the launching of ballistic missiles, missiles and drones at Saudi areas, amid repeated announcements by the coalition that they are destroying them.
