The government on Friday encouraged "all health professionals" to come to the aid of hospitals, while they are "facing strong tension due to the resumption of the" Covid-19 "epidemic throughout the country. territory".

Their mobilization is "crucial for the care of patients with Covid-19, but also of all other patients and allow a turnover of hospital teams," said the Ministry of Health in a press release.

The government has put in place a series of incentives.

Health students "can all be mobilized, taking into account the situation of students in the last year of training, as well as exam periods".

They then receive "an exceptional internship allowance during this period, for example an increase of 100% for students in medicine, maieutics, dentistry and pharmacy," said the press release.

Increase in compensation

The professionals of the health reserve see their remuneration increased, "for example from 125 to 200 euros per day for an active nurse", and the hospital and liberal health professionals at retirement "are not subject to the ceiling of the accumulation of their retirement and their income from activity if they exercise this activity, medical or paramedical, in a Covid-19 department ".

As for the liberal doctors, "in the event of loss of activity, their fixed costs are compensated, which allows them to strengthen the Covid-19 services, then to resume their activity".

After a slight drop on Thursday, the number of Covid-19 patients in intensive care began to rise again on Friday, exceeding 5,750 patients, according to daily figures from Public Health France.
