NGOs and a Uyghur survivor have filed a complaint in France against four multinational clothing companies, accused of profiting from the forced labor imposed on the minority of Uyghurs in China, they announced on Friday in a statement.

The companies Inditex (owner of the Zara brand), Uniqlo, SMCP (Sandro, Maje, etc.) and the sports shoemaker Skechers are accused of "concealment of forced labor and crimes against humanity" in this complaint filed by the anti-corruption association Sherpa, the Ethics collective on the label (French branch of "Clean clothes campaign"), the Uyghur Institute of Europe "(IODE) and a Uyghur woman who was interned in the province of Xinjiang (north-west of China).
