President Moon Jae-in urgently convenes and presides at the Blue House next Monday (12th) at the Blue House.
Blue House spokesman Kang Min-seok said in a written briefing today that President Moon called a meeting urgently in order to stably manage the situation by establishing an all-out corona response system.
The inspection meeting will be attended by Minister of Public Administration and Safety Jeon Hae-cheol, Minister of Health and Welfare Kwon Deok-cheol, Director of State Affairs and Coordination Office, Yoon-cheol Koo, Director of Food and Drug Safety, Kang-rip Kim, and Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
President Moon is also scheduled to convene a meeting of the Ministers of the Expansion of Economy on the 15th to check the economic situation and the current status of major strategic industries and discuss countermeasure strategies.
The expanded economic ministers' meeting will be attended by Deputy Prime Minister Hong Nam-ki, Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Sung Yun-mo, Minister of Employment and Labor Lee Jae-gap, Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Moon Sung-hyuk, and Minister of Small and Medium Venture Business Kwon Chil-seung.
Spokesman Kang Min-seok said that the two meetings to be convened next week will be "the first step toward solving the current state affairs as (President Moon announced to the public on the 8th)." He said, "I will work on the state affairs with a low attitude and a heavier sense of responsibility."
