A British man who decided to quit smoking and started buying lottery tickets faced an unexpected windfall.

On the 4th local time, foreign media such as'Hampshire Live', a local media outlet in Southampton in England, introduced the story of John McFadden, who became the main character of the prize money of about 1.5 billion won.

McFadden, who has been a smoker for many years, recently decided to quit smoking for health reasons.

However, I couldn't quit more easily than I thought, and, unfortunately, I started smoking electronic cigarettes instead of regular cigarettes.

Mr. McFadden used to buy lottery tickets with the money left over from buying e-cigarettes, but

one day, as usual, he bought and scratched lottery tickets without much anticipation and found an incredible number.

The first number alone was 50,000 pounds, and we won about 77 million won in our money.

Mr. McFadden scraped the rest of the number a little more, and was surprised that he had already won the big money and ran straight to the store where he bought the lottery ticket.

The owner of the lottery, who confirmed the lottery, told Mr. McFadden to call the lottery company, saying, "The winning amount is too big for me to pay," and Mr. McFadden then properly checked the winnings written on the remaining numbers.

The total amount won was 1 million pounds, about 1.58 billion won in our money.

Afterwards, Mr. McFadden said, "I almost fell on the spot when I saw that the winnings were nearly 20 times higher than the amount I had checked for the first time."

"I'm working to deliver meat to a butcher shop, but I don't want to quit my job yet. I'm going to cut a little bit of time working to spend more time with my family," he said. And will buy a house close to where the grandchildren live."
