Prince Philip, husband of Queen Elizabeth II of England, has passed away at the age of 99.

Buckingham Palace issued a statement today (9th) and announced that Philip died peacefully in Windsor Castle in the morning, the BBC and others reported.

Gong Philip was born in Greece in 1921 and was expected to turn 100 by June this year.

Philip Gong was hospitalized for treatment of infectious diseases in February of this year and was discharged from the hospital in the middle of last month, about four weeks after receiving heart surgery.

Gong Philip has been with the Queen in Windsor Castle since last year to escape Corona 19.

After marrying Queen Elizabeth II in 1947, Prince Philip has been the husband of the monarch for over 70 years, the longest in history.

He was in good shape for his age and only retired from official royal affairs at the age of 96.

He has 4 children, including Prince Charles, 8 grandchildren including Prince William, and 10 great-grandchildren.

By marrying the queen, Prince Philip laid down both the royal status of Greece and Denmark, as well as his naval career, and has been through all political and social upheavals since the queen's accession in 1953.

Reuters reported that Philip was a straightforward naval officer, the loyal spouse of the queen who helped modernize the British royal family.

In her 50th anniversary speech, the Queen said, "He has been my strength and my dependence for all years."

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said he was "very sad" when he heard the news. "Dong Philip has been loved by generations in England and around the world."

"Gong Philip lived an extraordinary life," he said. "It inspired the lives of countless young people."

"Dong Philip helped make the royal family an important institution for the British," he added.

The British government raised early, and the ruling party politics and religious circles also sent a single voice in mourning.

Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison is also sending messages of condolence abroad, including ordering early hoisting.
