“We are closely following the situation in Donbass.

Unfortunately, the situation there remains difficult and tends to aggravate.

The reason for this is the belligerent mood of Kiev, which still lives with the illusion about the possibility of a military solution to the conflict in the south-east of the country, ”the diplomat said during a briefing.

According to her, hysteria in the media is whipping up hysteria about Moscow's alleged plans to "attack almost tomorrow" on Ukraine.

"All this is happening largely with the filing of the Western curators of Kiev, and with open public support," - said Zakharova.

Zakharova also commented on the words of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that the country's membership in NATO would allegedly lead to an end to the conflict in Donbass.

As stated in the Kremlin, Russia does not pose a threat to any country in the world, including Ukraine.

Moscow added that "the Russian army is moving on Russian territory in the directions in which it considers it necessary" to ensure the security of the state.
