Berlin (dpa / bb) - The police union (GdP) complains about a lack of corona self-tests with many Berlin authorities.

The state as an employer does not implement its own requirements, said Manuela Kamprath from the GdP state executive on Friday.

That is absolutely incomprehensible.

For some time now, employers in Berlin have been obliged to give their employees who do not work from home two free quick tests per week.

According to the GdP, the requirement is, for example, not followed in some citizens' offices and public order offices, where many employees still work in presence and have many contacts.

What is also missing is sufficient vaccination offers for administrative employees in the military service.

Kamprath also called for mandatory testing for every citizen before visiting “public offices”.

The regulations for the retail trade or for services close to the body would have to be expanded accordingly.

"I have never heard of a virologist who has spoken of a lower potential for infection if you go to an authority instead of a fashion store," says Kamprath.
