In the group over the age of 70, 65 percent have received their first dose of vaccine.
According to the region, the figure is expected to be close to 80 percent after the end of this week.
Vaccine delivery good
A total of 19.8 percent of the population over the age of 18 in Östergötland has now received the first dose.
And right now the supply of vaccines is good.
- We are happy that we have many times that we can offer the residents vaccination next week, and we really want to encourage those who belong to the group 70 years and older to book their vaccination now.
We also want to encourage everyone to book digitally and at our vaccination centers if you have the opportunity, says Jessica Frisk, healthcare manager in regional healthcare management.
The capacity is greatest at the large vaccination centers in Linköping, Norrköping, Motala, Mjölby and Finspång.
