Another seven basic health areas of the Community of Madrid and the town of Manzanares El Real will be confined from 00:00 next Monday, April 12, due to the increase in coronavirus infections.

For two weeks both the entrances and the exits of its perimeters will be prohibited, but its inhabitants will be able to move through the interior.

Specifically, the restrictions extend to four other areas in the capital: Villa de Vallecas (in the Puente de Vallecas district);

Quintana (San Blas), Barajas (in Barajas) and Silvano (Hortaleza);

two others in Móstoles: Princesa and Barcelona;

and Villanueva del Pardillo.

In the Ministry of Health they attribute the increase in the accumulated incidence to 14 days -which stands at 321 cases per 100,000 inhabitants- to the perimeter closure of the region during the San José Bridge and Holy Week.

"We already said that it would have consequences," stressed the Deputy Minister of Public Health and the Covid-19 Plan, Antonio Zapatero.

On the contrary, since Monday the confinements of the basic health area of ​​Núñez Morgado, in the district of Chamartín, and of the municipalities of Navacerrada, Navas del Rey, Santos de la Humosa, Villanueva de la Cañada, Torrejón de Velasco have been lifted. and Chapineria.

In total, the mobility restrictions in force will affect 427,000 people, 6.4% of the population of Madrid, where 9.1% of infections are concentrated.
