Frankfurt / Main (dpa) - Lufthansa wants to stick to its most exclusive service offers despite the corona losses.

"We are currently planning a new generation of First Class," said board member Christina Foerster in an interview with the "Handelsblatt" (Friday).

The currently closed first-class terminal in Frankfurt and the HON Circle for particularly active frequent flyers will also be retained, the manager assured.

Foerster reaffirmed the plan to downsize the business class in many aircraft in favor of the “premium economy” intermediate class.

The reason are more restrictive travel guidelines at large companies.

“In the future there will be more business trips for which the internal rules dictate economy, and that includes Premium Eco.

That is why demand is increasing here, and we are responding to it. "

In what proportion the seating will be changed cannot be said in general terms.

"It's about using the right aircraft with the right configuration on the right routes."
