Weiterstadt / Wiesbaden (dpa / lhe) - A fire broke out in the penal institution in Weiterstadt.
The Hessian Ministry of Justice reported on Friday in Wiesbaden that the fire started an inmate in his solitary cell on Thursday evening.
The man was therefore not injured, two servants suffered light smoke inhalation.
The fire could be extinguished.
The ministry did not provide any further details.
According to the state, the prison in Weiterstadt in southern Hesse is the largest prison in Hesse.
