Berlin (dpa / bb) - According to the police, six members of a family tried to prevent the arrest of a 22-year-old relative.
Five of them stood in front of the police officers and harassed them - the young man's 48-year-old father had almost pushed a police officer down a flight of stairs, the police said on Friday.
The emergency services finally used a so-called irritant spray device in front of the apartment on Urbanstrasse in Berlin-Kreuzberg on Thursday evening in order to push back the angry family.
Reports of dangerous bodily harm, resistance and assault had been written.
The father and his 22-year-old son were taken into custody.
The latter is said to have recently hit and kicked a man lying on the ground together with two other people before he fled home from the arriving police.
