Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - After the parents' representatives, the Baden-Württemberg kindergarten teachers are also calling for clarity on how to proceed when opening daycare facilities.
"The colleagues feel left alone in the facilities," criticized the regional head of the Verdi union, Martin Gross.
For the schools there has already been a top-level meeting with Prime Minister Winfried Kretschmann (Greens).
In contrast, there was still a lack of binding and safe concepts for the much riskier daycare operations, he told the dpa.
The state government wants to announce further decisions on the strategy in the daycare centers on Thursday.
This could also mean compulsory tests or a test offer for children, as the Böblingen district is currently organizing on its own initiative and as the trade unions are calling for.
Like in schools, boys and girls are tested there twice a week before they enter the daycare centers.
After the end of the project, the experience should be evaluated and a decision should be made as to how a model could be further financed at the district level.
Verdi regional district manager Gross called for nationwide framework conditions so that municipalities and sponsors could organize the educational work.
It is important that the employees do not have to enforce new rules every morning at the daycare gate.
"Educational specialists are responsible for the children and not bouncers of the country's constantly changing corona policy," says Gross.
The union wants to publish its specific demands on the state government on Thursday (10.00).

The parents had previously complained that the switch to distance learning after the Easter holidays caused acute uncertainty among parents with children in daycare centers and day care.
They observed with restlessness that the state government had not yet commented on the procedure in the daycare centers, said a spokesman for the state parents' representation of Baden-Württemberg day-care centers (LEBK-BW).
The parent representatives are basically in favor of open daycare centers and also refer to current data from the state health office, according to which workplaces and the private sector are responsible for the majority of new corona infections.
