Candidate Se-hoon Oh and Hyeong-jun Park were elected for the mayor of Seoul, and candidates for the strength of the people also won the elections for the presidents of two basic organizations.

result of the counting of the Seoul Mayor's by-election, Candidate Se-Hoon Oh, the Power of the People, was elected with a 57.5% vote.



Democratic candidate Park Young-seon won 39.2%, the difference from Oh, which was 18.3 percentage points.



Se-Hoon Oh was elected Mayor of Seoul for the third time following 2006 and 2010, and the Democratic Party gave up the position of Mayor of Seoul to the people's strength in 10 years.



In the Busan mayoral election, candidate Park Hyung-jun, the power of the people, won overwhelming victory over Democratic candidate Kim Young-chun.



Park Hyung-jun's vote was 62.7%, which was close to 30 percentage points from Democratic candidate Kim Young-chun, who won 34.4%.



It is evaluated that the public sentiment that was angry with the current government and the ruling party due to the'LH incident' in this election due to the sexual misconduct of the former mayors of the Democratic Party led the opposition to overwhelming victory.



The “regime judgment theory” that the opposition party insisted throughout the elections also worked.



In the election of Nam-gu Office in Ulsan, Candidate Dong-wook Seo, the power of the people, and Tae-wan Oh, the power of the people in the election of Uiryeong County, Gyeongnam, won the Democratic Party candidate.



Through this re-election, 21 public officials were elected nationwide, including 2 heads of regional organizations and 2 heads of basic organizations.



In terms of turnout, Seoul recorded 58.2% and Busan recorded 52.7%.
