At the meeting, Wang Haidong, Director of the Department of Aging and Health of the National Health Commission, said that as of the end of last year, there were 5857 integrated medical and elderly care institutions in the country with two complete certificates, an increase of 59.4% from the end of 2017. Medical and health institutions and elderly care service institutions were established. There are 72,000 pairs that have signed a cooperative relationship, which is 6.1 times that of the end of 2017.
The number of beds in the two comprehensive medical and elderly care institutions has reached 1.585 million, and more than 90% of the elderly care institutions are able to provide medical and health services for the elderly in different forms.
