Osnabrück (dpa / lni) - In response to the falling number of corona infections, the city and the district of Osnabrück lifted the night curfew that was imposed last week on Thursday.

Both local governments announced this on Thursday.

The seven-day incidence on Thursday was 89.9 in the district and 118.0 in the city of Osnabrück.

The exit restrictions were put into effect on Wednesday last week when the city had a value of around 200 new corona infections per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days and the district came to values around the 150 mark.

For legal reasons, the exit restriction could only be lifted on Friday, but it should no longer be checked on Friday night, it said.

District Administrator Anna Kebschull (Greens) and Lord Mayor Wolfgang Griesert (CDU) appealed to the population to continue to forego unnecessary contacts.

The exit restrictions in the city and district of Osnabrück had been confirmed by the administrative court in the first instance before Easter.

For the Hanover region, on the other hand, the night curfew imposed there was last cashed by the Lüneburg Higher Administrative Court.
