Berlin / Magdeburg (dpa / sa) - According to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), the seven-day value for new corona infections in Saxony-Anhalt is 132.8.

That came out from the RKI dashboard on Thursday morning.

On Wednesday, the RKI showed a value of 139.1 cases per 100,000 inhabitants within 7 days, after 159.5 on Tuesday.

According to the information, 515 new new corona infections were reported nationwide to the RKI within 24 hours.

The RKI points out that around the Easter holidays fewer people go to the doctor, fewer are tested and less examined in the laboratories.

In addition, it is possible that not all authorities transmit data every day.

The nationwide seven-day incidence was 105.7 on Thursday, according to the RKI, and more than 20,400 Covid-19 cases had been reported.

After the neighboring states of Thuringia (181.0) and Saxony (143.0), Saxony-Anhalt has the highest number of infections nationwide.
