Magdeburg (dpa) - Despite the still high number of infections in Saxony-Anhalt, the first restaurateurs can open on Friday.
A spokesman for the ministry said on Thursday that the permits issued by the Ministry of Economic Affairs that were issued at the weekend are still valid.
The state government had approved the Harz district to open outdoor restaurants in nine municipalities.
The decisive factor for the permits is therefore not the current seven-day incidence of the district, but of the municipalities in which the model projects are to take place.
In Ballenstedt, Blankenburg, Falkenstein, Harzgerode, Ilsenburg, Oberharz, Quedlinburg, Thale and Wernigerode, the value according to the district on Thursday was below 200 - so the model projects can start as planned on Friday.
The restaurateurs prepared the openings on Thursday.
Due to the changeable weather, however, the district expects a subdued start.
If the value in the municipalities rises above 200 or the development of the health system in the Harz mountains overtaxes, the district wants to stop the projects.
If the incidence in the county exceeds 200 for five days, the state withdraws the permit.
The state government had created the possibility of trial openings in the new state corona ordinance.
