Frankenthal (dpa) - A verdict in the so-called double murder trial for the killing of two businessmen from Rhineland-Palatinate and Baden-Württemberg is expected before the district court in Frankenthal.
A woman from Stuttgart is accused of luring the two men from the Rhine-Neckar area to a warehouse in Mannheim in 2016/17.
The main question in the process is whether she acted as an accomplice in the killing.
The court had sentenced the German and two men with Turkish citizenship in 2018 to life imprisonment for, among other things, murder and extortionate kidnapping.
The Federal Court of Justice (BGH) in Karlsruhe largely confirmed the guilty verdicts.
The judges classified the woman's contribution to the crime as not sufficiently clarified.
They partially overturned this judgment and ordered a renegotiation (Az .: 2 Ks 5326 Js 40570/16).
The public prosecutor's office is again demanding life imprisonment for the woman.
The defendants' defense lawyers, on the other hand, speak out for a maximum of eight years in prison.
