The Minister for Transport in turn enters into the controversy over the “aerial dream”.

In order to show his support after the drop in subsidies voted on March 29 by the Poitiers city council, Jean-Baptiste Djebbari wants to obtain a decoration for the presidents of the city's flying clubs, said his entourage.

"Through this gesture, he wants to support the whole community, to promote the action carried out by flying clubs throughout the territory, in particular in favor of children and their dreams," the same source explains.

These words echo those of the environmentalist mayor of Poitiers, Léonore Moncond'huy, for whom "air travel is sad, but should no longer be part of children's dreams today".

The minister's entourage did not however specify what decoration was likely to be awarded to Jean-Marie Arnault and Alain Martin, the presidents of the two flying clubs.
