Hanover (dpa / lni) - Lower Saxony's European Minister Birgit Honé has asked Great Britain to use its corona vaccines not only for its own population.
"Boris Johnson is trying to use the pandemic for domestic political success to distract attention from the economic consequences of Brexit," said the SPD politician to the German Press Agency about the British Prime Minister.
The pandemic can only be fought internationally.
«Anyone who thinks that it is enough for a country to defeat the pandemic is wrong.
I urge all sides to support one another.

Honé said the EU had already exported 77 million doses of vaccine, including 21 million to the UK.
The British, on the other hand, had allowed a competition, which, according to the EU Commission, had resulted in the manufacturer Astrazeneca not fulfilling its contracts with the EU, because only Great Britain was supplied.
"This is a misery that needs to be corrected," demanded Honé.
Lower Saxony's state government repeatedly cites a lack of vaccine as the reason for the sluggish vaccination progress.
So far, only one in eight people between the Harz Mountains and the coast has received a Covid 19 vaccination.
Only around every twentieth person is fully vaccinated.
