Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) - In North Rhine-Westphalia, there should be face-to-face lessons in the classrooms for the pupils in the final classes even after the Easter holidays.

School Minister Yvonne Gebauer (FDP) said on Thursday that they are excluded from distance learning.

For the rest of the year, distance learning is initially only valid for one week until April 16.

Doctors had confirmed at the conference of ministers of education that the incidence of infections in children and adolescents was increasing.

Gebauer emphasized: "The schools are not the drivers of the pandemic."

The "Rheinische Post" and the WDR had previously reported on the regulation for the graduating classes.
