China News Service, April 8th. According to the South American Overseas Chinese News Network reported on the 8th, a pediatrician at the National Children's Hospital of Costa Rica had previously refused to receive the new crown vaccine and later contracted the new crown, which eventually led to three minors being isolated.

The Minister of Health of Costa Rica Daniel Salas recently responded to this and said that he would file criminal charges against medical personnel who did not want to be vaccinated.

According to reports, a pediatrician at the National Children's Hospital of Costa Rica had previously stated that he refused to receive the new crown vaccine.

When the nucleic acid test was performed later, the doctor's result was positive.

Affected by this, there are three minors who have also undergone nucleic acid testing as close contacts. Although the results were negative, the three must still undergo preventive isolation.

The Costa Rica College of Physicians and Surgeons subsequently announced that it would investigate the doctor.

After this incident, the Minister of Health of Costa Rica Daniel Salas also stated that after all medical personnel have completed this round of vaccination, he will ask the Social Security Bureau, the Red Cross and the Ministry of Health to provide a list of medical personnel who do not want to be vaccinated.

For those who do not want to be vaccinated, Salas will file criminal charges on behalf of the Ministry of Health.

Salas said: "It is very regrettable that a person working in the health sector can make such a decision, because this behavior is equivalent to directly exposing the patient to the risk of infection. The most basic criterion for becoming a medical staff is Putting the safety of the patient at the highest priority, and not vaccinating, is contrary to this principle."

Salas also once again called on all medical staff to be vaccinated in a timely manner and to treat the lives of patients in a responsible manner.
