The incident took place in October last year, and the verdict has now been passed: The Altona district court has fined a person who refused to wear a mask for trespassing and distributing illegal video recordings.

As a court spokesman announced on Thursday, the 30-year-old has to pay 80 daily rates of 40 euros each - a total of 3200 euros (Az. 326a Ds 276/20).

According to the public prosecutor's office, the defendant went to a cinema in Hamburg-Othmarschen on October 5th last year with a companion.

When employees pointed out the mask requirement according to the Corona regulation, the man is said to have shown himself unapologetic.

He refused to leave the cinema and filmed the staff.

He is said to have later published the video recordings on Instagram.

A similar incident occurred two days later in a supermarket in Altona.

The verdict is not yet legally binding.
