Use against gang crime: explosive device burned down

Wiesbaden / Kelsterbach (dpa / lhe) - As part of investigations into organized gang crime, investigators from the Hessian State Criminal Police Office (LKA) seized a vehicle on Wednesday in a parking lot in Kelsterbach (Groß-Gerau district).

There was a homemade explosive device in it, said an LKA spokeswoman.

For security reasons, the LKA experts decided after a forensic investigation to burn down this explosive device in a controlled manner.

Nobody was injured, and according to the information, there was no property damage.

For reasons of tactical investigations, there was initially no further information.
