According to reports, three special rapporteurs of the United Nations Human Rights Council recently issued a joint allegation letter to the U.S. government, accusing the U.S. government and the military of continuing to violate the human rights of the Chamorro indigenous people in Guam. The strengthening of armaments in Guam with full consultations with the Chamorro people and the resulting threats to indigenous lands, resources, environment and cultural rights expressed serious concerns.
