The maximum punishment is two years in prison: prankster Edward Beale was charged after a major traffic accident in the center of Moscow

Blogger Edward Biel (real name - Eduard Biel), a participant in a high-profile road accident on the Garden Ring in Moscow, was charged under Part 1 of Art.

264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "violation of traffic rules, resulting in the infliction of grievous harm to human health."

This was reported in the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Moscow.

“The alleged perpetrator of the accident has been charged.

The woman, who was injured and is being treated, has been recognized as a victim since the initiation of the criminal case, ”said the head of the Directorate of Investigation and Control of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Moscow, Colonel of the Internal Service Vladimir Vasenin.

It is noted that searches were carried out at the place of actual residence of the defendant and interrogations of witnesses to the accident.

Also seized and attached to the materials of the criminal case were video recordings of city surveillance cameras.

The Interior Ministry recalled that the sanction of the article provides for the maximum punishment in the form of two years in prison. 

The blogger's lawyer, Sergei Zhorin, could not comment on the accusation and only said that he was with his client on investigative actions. 

Scandalous accident

Earlier, RT talked about a resonant accident that occurred on April 1 at about 11:40 am on Novinsky Boulevard.

The footage of the video posted on the network shows that the driver of the Audi RS6 was moving along the garden ring, after which he unexpectedly drove into the oncoming lane.

He did not manage to avoid a head-on collision with a Volkswagen Polo and, after hitting foreign cars, crashed into three more cars.

The driver of the Volkswagen Polo, the leading specialist of the State Duma Committee on Defense, Maria Artyomova, suffered the most in the accident.

The woman was hospitalized in serious condition.

Pranker Edward Beale turned out to be the driver of the Audi.

Immediately after the accident, he tried to shift the blame onto a friend who was allegedly driving a car.

However, he later admitted that it was he who was driving.

Bilu was examined, but no prohibited substances were found in his body.  

On the fact of the accident, a criminal case was initiated under Part 1 of Art.

264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Violation of traffic rules or the operation of vehicles, resulting in the infliction of serious harm to human health by negligence."

On April 3, the Tverskoy District Court of Moscow chose Bila a preventive measure in the form of a ban on certain actions.

In addition, as reported in the Department of Transport of Moscow, since January 2021, more than 400 violations of the speed limit have been recorded behind the car.

However, the fines were not issued, since in January the car was deregistered and operated on fake license plates.

As the lawyer of the injured party, Andrei Knyazev, told RT, Artyomova's condition improved after being admitted to the hospital.

Her husband Konstantin visits her and brings the necessary medicines.

Konstantin spent the whole day in the hospital, brought medicines and things.

Maria is still in intensive care, they are observing the state of her internal organs - she had a lot of blood loss, ruptures of the spleen, ruptures of the intestines and other organs.
