China News Agency, Jakarta, April 7th (Reporter Lin Yongchuan) On the afternoon of the 7th, the first batch of 50-meter-long high-speed rails from China was transported from the Indonesian port of Cilaja to the track-laying base of the Jakarur High-speed Railway Dekarur EMU, marking The rail transportation channel from Panzhihua Steel Plant in China to the track laying base of Jakarta-Bandung High-speed Railway in Indonesia has been opened up.

On the same day, the Indonesian National Railway Corporation, the Indonesia-China High Speed Railway Joint Venture and related construction units held delivery and receiving ceremonies at the port and track laying base respectively.

The Jakarta-Bandung High-speed Railway is Indonesia's first high-speed railway with a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour.

The country has no experience in high-speed rail construction, and there are no corresponding related projects in the country.

The rails used in this project are all imported from China.

However, it is very difficult to transport steel rails from China to the construction site in Indonesia.

After a comprehensive investigation of the transportation conditions of Indonesia’s existing railways, highways, and shipping, the China Power Construction Municipal Group, which is responsible for the entire track laying project, decided to use 50-meter fixed-length rails for transportation, and then weld them to 500-meter-long rails and put them into use. Plan.

After the rails are transported from China to Indonesian ports, the transportation from the port to the site has become the most critical and difficult step.

Since the existing narrow-gauge railway in Indonesia has never transported 50-meter-long rails, in order to ensure safety, the China Power Construction Municipal Corporation and the Railway Science Research Institute have carried out a 50-meter-long rail transportation test in advance, and completed the track-laying base link line with the Indonesian local The connection of existing railways creates conditions for rail transportation.

The first batch of rails was successfully transported to the track laying base, marking that it was shipped from China's Panzhihua Steel Plant to Fangcheng Port in Guangxi via a domestic railway line of 1,350 kilometers, by sea to Cilaja Port in Indonesia, and then transported to the existing narrow-gauge railway in Indonesia. Bandung Lanzeke Station, through the track laying base connecting line, finally reached the rail transportation channel of the track laying base, which created conditions for the next step of rail welding and track laying, and laid a solid foundation for the early completion of the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed rail.
