China Taiwan Net, April 7th, according to Taiwan’s “Central News Agency” and “Zhongshi News Net” reports, the defense department of the Taiwan authorities stated today (7th) that due to the epidemic situation last year, only about 1,000 reserve soldiers were mobilized to participate in the “Han Kuang "Exercise", because the epidemic has been brought under control, this year more than 8,000 reserve soldiers will be mobilized to participate in real-force drills, and combined with the standing troops, they will be engaged in beach and town operations.

According to reports, this year’s Taiwan military’s "Han Kuang No. 37" exercise will be held from April 23 to 30, and will be conducted 24 hours a day continuously in the form of a "complex war game".

The actual military exercise will be held from July 12th to 16th. At that time, the "possible action against Taiwan by the enemy's armed forces" will be assumed, and the three-service joint defense operations will be carried out.

Taiwan’s defense department stated that this actual military exercise will be the first to carry out fighter takeoff and landing at Pingtung’s Jiadong War Preparation Road. If it is successfully executed, it will be the first time a fighter plane has landed on the Jiadong War Preparation Road.

In addition, the Taiwan military plans to conduct firepower demonstrations at the northern Kengzikou shooting range, the central Jianan Beach and the Pingtung Manfeng Fishing Ground.

In response to the Taiwan authorities' advocacy of the "mainland threat theory" and their attempts to gain "independence" by force and to resist reunification by force, Ma Xiaoguang, the spokesperson of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, once clearly stated: Rejecting reunification by force is a dead end.
