Freiburg (dpa / lsw) - The Freiburg regional court has to deal again with the sex murder of a 27-year-old jogger in Endingen.

It will negotiate on June 21 and 22 on the question of preventive detention, the court announced on Wednesday.

The Federal Court of Justice (BGH) decided in February 2019 that the reason was not sufficient.

At the same time, he confirmed the life sentence against the perpetrator.

The fact that the perpetrator is released early after 15 years remains as good as impossible, because the BGH also confirmed the particular gravity of the guilt.

The perpetrator, a truck driver from Romania, had admitted to the trial before the regional court that he raped and killed his victim in a forest in the vineyards of the 9,000-inhabitant town of Endingen in November 2016.

The man, who was 40 years old when he was convicted in December 2017, was arrested 7 months after the crime in a freight company in Endingen.

The investigators had tracked down the father of three children by evaluating truck toll data.
