Neubrandenburg / Mirow / Greifswald / Pasewalk (dpa / mv) - After the large rush of additional vaccinations for people aged 60 and over, two districts are offering five additional vaccination options this Saturday.

As the spokesman for the Mecklenburg Lake District and Western Pomerania-Greifswald district explained on Wednesday, there should be such contact points in the centers of Neubrandenburg, Demmin and Mirow as well as in Greifswald and Pasewalk.

While Vorpommern-Greifswald wants to vaccinate without registering, the Lake District administration pointed out that you can also reserve an appointment via the hotline.

On Holy Saturday, more than 960 people in the Lake District were given the Astrazeneca vaccine.

In Neubrandenburg, those willing to vaccinate had to wait up to three and a half hours.

In the end, more than four times as many women and men as expected were vaccinated at the Waren vaccination center.

Vorpommern-Greifswald is hoping for more than 1000 people who want to be vaccinated on April 10th.

The Wismar district administration has had similar experiences: There the vaccination was extended by a good two hours on Easter Monday so that more than 900 people could be cared for.

Another vaccination without an appointment is planned for April 17th.
