Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) - The regional league footballers from table leader Borussia Dortmund missed a win in the west season, but were able to score another point for the targeted promotion to the third division.

On Wednesday, BVB coach Enrico Maaßen's team scored 1-1 (1-1) in the top match at third in the table Preußen Münster and after the 34th matchday they still have nine points ahead of second-placed Rot-Weiss Essen.

The Essen team also had to be content with a 1: 1 (0: 1) in the game against last year's champions SV Rödinghausen.

The BVB youngsters took the lead in Münster through Kolbeinn Birgir Finnsson (9th minute), before Gerrit Wegkamp (12th) managed to equalize for the hosts.

Münster (62 points) is already 13 points behind the selection of Borussia Dortmund II (75).

Essen (66 points) fell behind in Rödinghausen due to Ba-Muaka Simakala (16th), then Daniel Heber (61st) saved the former Bundesliga club at least one point.

RWE coach Christian Neidhart's team played one game less.

The Essen catch-up game against SV Lippstadt is scheduled for April 14th.
