Thanks to the intervention of a witness, the young girl escaped unscathed but shocked.

The Albertville gendarmes launched an appeal for witnesses after an attempted kidnapping of a 16-year-old girl on Sunday near a map of Ugine, in Savoie.

Between 3 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. on April 4, the young girl was approached by a stranger while she was in the parking lot of the Berges de La Chaise park.

He asked her for her phone and the teenager replied that she had no more battery, say the gendarmes on Wednesday on their Facebook page.

The man then grabbed her arm while holding the door of his vehicle open.

The cry of a third person attending the scene put the attacker to flight.

He left the scene in a black four-door car, "making noise".

"We are trying to find a witness to the facts, or the person who would have screamed and put to flight, perhaps unwittingly, the man", adds the gendarmerie.

A detailed description

According to the description given by the victim who lodged a complaint after these facts, the suspect would be around 30 years old, "European type, very pale, with long, blond hair, in a bun".

He would present marked dark circles and signs of rosacea on the cheeks.

The victim also noticed that the man had large ears, probably protruding.

Anyone who saw something this Sunday near the lake and the tourist office, or having information that could help the investigators, is invited to call the Ugine gendarmerie on 04 79 37 30 17.
